Girls Doubles WACC Champions 24/25
Nevaeh Adiwidya and Alice Dazo are Girls Doubles WACC Shoreline Champions!
For the first time in a decade Nevaeh and Alice took 1st place in doubles, and represented Mt. Eden at NCS for the first time in 10 years.
For the WACC tournament, after being seeded 4th with a 1st round bye, they dominated San Leandro in their first match 6-1, 6-2, propelling them to the quarter finals in Day 2 of the tournament.
In the Quarter Finals, they faced Arroyo, a tough opponent who beat out the #1 seed. They were down early 0-4; but took the first set to a tie breaker, ultimately losing the first set 5-7. But it was a tale of two halves; Nevaeh and Alice made adjustments to come back and win the second set 6-1, and win the third set 6-2 to bring them to the championship match!
In the final, they faced the Encinal the #3 seed. This was their toughest battle, but they came back from an 0-3 deficit in the 1st set to win the tie break in the first set 7-4. After a grueling battle in the second set, they won 6-4, making them NCS bound!
