The Mt. Eden Gallery Of Art is proud to announce its final showcase of the school year. The Spring Showcase featuring art from all of our visual arts classes, will host its opening reception Thursday April 30th in room P6, after school from 2:30-4:30. We hope you can join us for the opening reception, but if you miss it, MEGA will be open for lunch every Thursday through May 21st.

On Saturday, March 21st, Ms. King took 6 students to visit Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville. Pixar is closed to the public, and school tours are not allowed. But Ms. King has a friend of a friend at Pixar, and he arranged 6 special visitor passes for Jamie Madlangbayan, Madlyn Fernandez Flores, Amanda Paz, Charley Weinstein, Vyvan Nguyen, and Jeannell Kawolo.

This past Saturday, two Monarchs. Iza Monsanto and Lauren Cuesta were honored by Assemblywoman Liz Ortega as Women of the Year! Ms. Ortega honored our students for their courageous leadership and dedication to civic engagement. Iza and Lauren are the co-founders of our Social Justice Club and were instrumental in uplifting student voice and activism. We are so proud of our MONARCHS!
These two students were also featured in Teen Vogue.
